Our attorneys provide peace of mind and top-notch legal representation to clients in Southwestern Washington concerning their disability applications. We assist in appeals of denials of Social Security disability (SSDI), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Disabled Adult Child (DAC), and Widow’s/Widower’s disability benefits. We also assist in appeals concerning cessation of Social Security benefits after a Continuing Disability Review (CDR). We assist Veterans nationwide concerning Veterans' (VA) disability appeals.
Since the original firm was established in 1976, the attorneys at Halpern Olivares PLLC (formerly Elie Halpern & Associates, PLLC) have been representing disabled individuals and military veterans who have been denied disability benefits by Social Security (SSA) and/or the Veterans Administration (VA).
Navigating the disability process can be extremely time-consuming, confusing, and overwhelming. Our firm provides empathetic, respectful, and personalized representation. Our clients have peace of mind that their case will be handled thoroughly with compassion and expertise. At the initial visit, our clients meet personally with an experienced SSI attorney/Social Security attorney or Veterans disability advocate. From the initial phone call to the conclusion of their case, both assistants and attorneys are always available and willing to answer any questions or concerns.
We only receive a fee if you are successful in your Social Security and/or VA claim. Our fees are as follows:
SSD/SSI Matters: 25% of the past-due benefits, capped at $6,000*, plus reimbursement for costs/expenses. If the matter is appealed to Federal District Court, the fees are 25% of the past-due benefits, if successful, plus costs and expenses.
VA Matters: 25% of the past-due benefits, plus reimbursement for costs/expenses.
Profit is not a significant factor in our decision to represent clients. We do not accept or turn away clients based only on whether or not their cases are likely to generate significant legal fees for our firm.
We evaluate all cases on their merits, believing that every case and every client is important to the individual and family involved. Our fees are contingent on winning your case. We will fight for the benefits you deserve.
*As of November 30, 2022, SSA is increasing the fee cap to $7,200.
